Tadoba Andhari Tiger Reserve is word fame for its tiger sightings. It is one of the top places in India to spot Royal Bengal Tigers. If you are a nature or wildlife enthusiasts then you must visit once the ‘Jewel of Vidarbha’ located in Chandrapur districts of Maharashtra.

As per the latest census conducted in year 2020, Tadoba shelters more than 115 individual tigers and it’s no wonder that Tadoba Andhari is known as one of India’s biggest tiger lands. India is presently home to more than 2000 tigers which is around 70 per cent of the global tiger population.

1. Maya Popularly called as the ‘Queens of Tadoba’. Maya is most famed tiger in the entire Tadoba Tiger Reserve. Also known to be ruler of Tadoba Forest. Could be spotted in Kolara and Navegaon (core area)
2. Matkasur Matkasur is the present king of Tadoba and most dominant tiger in the jungle. He has also connection with Maya as he has fathered her third litter. . Could be spotted in Belara , Madnapur gate.
3. Gabbar or Scarface Gabbar is another most popular and ferocious male tiger of Tadoba. Scars on his face could easily be seen. He came in lime light after territorial fight with another male tiger. Could be spotted in Moharli Buffer gates.
4. Choti Tara Choti Tara is the daughter of the famous tigress ‘TARA’. She is complete replica of her mother. As compared with Maya, Choti Tara is cool and calm. Could be spotted in Kolara core area.
5. Bajrang Bajrang is young and strong male tiger of the Tadoba Andhari. His ancestors are unknown. But it is said that he has come from Kolara buffer area. Could be spotted in Madnapur buffer area.
6. Shivaji Shivaji – most handsome tiger of Tadoba, regarded to be the son of Waghdoh who is the dominant male tiger known for its huge size. Slightly thicker hair which looks Mane.
7. Chota Matka Chota Matka is the male cub of Choti Tara and Matkasur. As like his parents, chota matka is highly energetic tiger who likes to encounter with tourists often.
8. Madhuri Madhuri known as the supermom of Tadoba Park, has over time given birth to nearly 19 cubs! Madhuri is found more towards the buffer zone. Agarzari.
9. Kanika Jhari She is also the most famous tigress of Tadoba National Park. She could be easily spotted in Madnapur or kolara Buffer area.
10. Choti Madhu Choti Madhu is a daughter of Madhuri. She lives in her own territory given by her Mother in Tadoba Jungle.
11. Sonam Madhuri’s daughter. Appeared in documentary telecast by a wildlife hannel.
12. Lara Madhuri’s daughter. Appeared in documentary telecast by a wildlife hannel.
13. Geeta Madhuri’s daughter. Appeared in documentary telecast by a wildlife hannel.
14. Mona Madhuri’s daughter. Appeared in documentary telecast by a wildlife hannel.
