The forest area of Tadoba, divided into six zones,can be explored through either a jeep safari or a canter safari. Safari is conducted twice a day; the morning safari timings are from 6.30 AM to 11 AM. The evening safari timings are from 2.3+0 PM to 6.30 PM. Rules for entry in Tadoba Andhari Tiger Reserve

  • Online booking for jeep or canter safari can be made 120 days before the actual date of the safari.
  • Booking for Canter Safari in Tadoba is also available online, on a first-come, first-served basis. This can be done directrly and smoothly from this website.
  • Jeep safari booking can be made either online or through tatkal. Unfortunately, no spot booking is available in this case.
  • Since there is a gate-wise entry quota for jeep safari in Tadoba, you must book one in time.

The jeeps allowed to enter the different zones in the morning and evening safariare as follows:

  • Moharli Gate - 16 jeeps in morning as well as 16 in evening under normal quota and 4 under tatkal quota
  • Kolara Gate – 8 jeeps in morning and 8 jeeps in evening under normal quota and 3 under tatkal quota

As per the normal quota, 60 jeeps enter the Tadoba tiger reserve for morning and evening safaris. However, suppose any cancellation is done, or any left-over quota exists after the normal online quota. In that case, a tatkal quota for that specific gate is added. However, this is a risk which hard-core wildlife enthusiasts should not take if they wish to spot the Royal Bengal Tiger in its natural surroundings.

Terms and conditions for normal quota safari booking

If you wish to book your safari online, these are the terms for normal quota safari booking:

  • Online booking opens 120 days before the exact entry date (at 8.00 AM) to the national park.
  • The booking closes exactly four days before the entry (at 5 PM) to the national park.
  • If you wish to make your safari booking anytime between 60 and 120 days before your visit, you can do so at an enhanced rate. However, the booking done in this case comes with additional clauses attached. These include no refund and no cancellation. However, if the booking is done 60 days in advance at normal charges; In that case, you can cancel the same as per specified terms and conditions.

Terms and conditions for normal quota safari booking

If you have decided to visit Tadoba on the spur of the moment, here are the terms for tatkal online safari booking:

  • The tatkal safari booking for Tadoba opens three days and closes two days prior to the exact safari date.
  • Suppose any cancellation or a left-over quota after the normal online quota closes. In that case, additional bookings are added as per the jeeps allowed for the specific gate.

How to book an online safari in Tadoba national park?

  • The forest authority holds the right to admission to the national park. Therefore, in order to book your safari for Tadoba national park, you must fill all the details on this website. The site provides you easy and friendly interface required to make your safari bookings confirmed.
  • Once you have made your bookings, you should keep in mind to carry required ID proofs while going on safari. For Indian nationals, voter ID, Aadhar card, PAN card, Driving License, passport, or a student ID card from a recognized school or college can serve the purpose. In the case of foreign nationals, carrying a passport while going for a safari is essential.
  • You are required to book your online safari with completely accurate details as any discrepancy, if discovered, will lead to a cancellation of the booking. You are also required to carry the same ID proof on the person during safari that has been used to make the online booking.
  • Kids below eight years can enter the national park without any booking and free of cost.
  • The safari bookings are non-transferable and cannot be altered once they are confirmed. However, in case of a genuine issue, only a single change is allowed against a written request made to the office of the Field Director of Maharashtra 15 days beforethe visit.
  • Suppose the booking was done less than 60 days in advance, and a request to alter the booking is made 15 days prior to the scheduled visit. In that case, 50% amount is refunded to the concerned party.
  • You are required to submit a photocopy of the ID proof before entering the gates of Tadoba national park. Additionally, you are required to carry the original ID proof with you during the safari.
  • If any changes in charges occur after the online booking is made, you will have to pay the difference when you enter the national park.
  • You need to be ready for your safari at the specified point, 15 minutes before the scheduled departure. If you are late and are not picked up, no rescheduling, cancellation, or refund will be available for you.
  • You do not have a choice when it comes to choosing the safari zone, and no changes will be made. However, the Maharashtra government reserves the right to make changes or cancel the safari in any emergency (flood, landslide, fire, rain, strike, or any public agitation).
  • The tiger reserve management cannot be held responsible for any accident, damage, or injury during the safari.
  • The Field Director has the right to ban the visitors from using their mobile phones within the Tadoba tiger reserve.
  • The terms and conditions of the Tadoba national park can change anytime.
  • The entry fee for jeep safari and canter safari varies on weekdays and weekends, and government holidays. An additional fee is charged for still and video cameras.
