How to reach Tadoba ?

Tadoba is a haven for nature lovers. If you have been looking forward to spending quality time with family and friends, surrounded by the peace and quiet of nature,then you should head for Tadoba National Park at the earliest. Located in the Chandrapur district of Maharashtra, the wildlifesanctuary does not have its own airport, railway station, or bus stand. However, people can easily reach here from different parts of the country as the national park is well connected to other cities through air, rail, and road.

The nearest airport to reach Tadoba national park is the Dr. Babasaheb Ambedkar International Airport at Nagpur, which is 140 km away. Regular flights for Nagpur are available from different parts of the country, including Delhi, Mumbai, Bengaluru, Kolkata, and Chennai. In addition, several nonstop flights are also available from Delhi and Mumbai that allow you to reach Nagpur faster. Depending on your bookings, you can choose one that best suits your timings. Once you have landed at the airport, you can hire a private cab or taxi to take you to the park. It will take you around 3 hours from the airport to reach the Tadoba national park. This mode of transport is ideal if you live in states that are distant from Maharashtra and Madhya Pradesh.

Reaching Tadoba by rail

The nearest railway station to reach Tadoba is Chandrapur railway station, which is located 45 km away from the national park. The place is well-connected to important cities like Hyderabad, Mumbai, Delhi, Jhansi, and Chennai. Buses are available at regular intervals to take you from the railway station to Tadoba tiger reserve. Apart from buses, you can also hire a taxi to take you to your destination.

The nearest bus stops to reach Tadoba tiger reserve are Chandrapur (45 km) and Chimur (32 km). These two are well connected to other major cities of the country. You can book yourself a seat on any state transport corporation bus to reach these cities and then take local transport to reach the national park. An excellent road network with well-constructed roads makes it easy for wildlife enthusiasts to reach the tiger reserve from various cities using taxis or self-driving cars.     We visited Tadoba in the month of March. We booked two morning jeep safari in different zone. Fist was in Alizanza gate and second was in Madnapur gate. We spotted tiger in Alizanza. Awesome!!

    I am a solo traveler. I have visited almost all national parks of India. But I have to rank national park in view of tiger spotting then I will list first Tadoba national park after national park. I you are visiting Tadoba mean your encounter with tiger is sure.

    we booked our stay towards Kolara side. Actually our family were coming from Nagpur side so Kolara is the nearest gate. The wildlife resort was fantastic and we enjoyed jeep safari in Shirkeheda gate which was very much thrilling and adventurous.
